Hoshizaki repairs we handle

• Not making ice, low production, or ice that will not harvest: ice machine not making ice.

Hoshizaki cleaning and maintenance

Hoshizaki's cleaning sheet for its KM models says the ice maker must be cleaned and sanitized at least once a year, with filter pressure checked and cartridges changed as required (Hoshizaki). Intervals vary by model, so check the manual for yours, and clean more often in hard water or heavy use.

California requires ice makers to be cleaned at the frequency the manufacturer specifies (HSC 114117), and ice is food under the state food code (HSC 113781). See ice machine cleaning and sanitizing and water filters.

Before you call

Note the model and serial number from the machine's label, whether it is making any ice, and anything that changed recently (a filter change, a move, a power outage). It helps us bring the right parts.

Replacing a Hoshizaki machine

New self-contained ice machines up to 1,000 pounds per day (batch) or 1,200 pounds per day (continuous) have been limited to refrigerants with a GWP under 150 since January 1, 2026 (40 CFR 84.54). See ice machine installation and replacement for sizing, location, drains and rebates.
