Quick answer
Enter how many pounds of product you hold at peak. The calculator converts that to interior cubic feet using a storage density and a usable-space share you can change, then suggests the smallest common footprint that fits.
How the estimate works
Interior volume is estimated from outside dimensions minus 4-inch panels, with about 6.9 feet of usable interior height. The defaults (28 lb per cubic foot of shelf space, half the box usable) are planning rules of thumb, not manufacturer data. Bulky or light products such as produce, bread or kegs need more space per pound.
When to call a technician
If a cooler, freezer or ice machine still is not right after the safe checks, a C-38 refrigeration technician can find the cause.
Open 7 days, 8 AM to 5 PM, with emergency service until 9 PM. CA Lic. #776244.
Frequently asked questions
Is a bigger walk-in always better?
No. An oversized box costs more to run and can short-cycle a small system. Size for peak storage plus reasonable growth.
